The Walnuts are a working class family. They work for me. Chef knives and drop point gut hook are 440C. The skinning and caping pair are 154CM. The Loveless style is 154CM. The Herron style is S30V. Thanks for looking Tim

Very nice. I really like the smaller chef's knife.

Those are all nice, but I especially like that second one from the right. I like that blade profile, and the jimping. That caper is pretty sweet too. Nice work.

Nice family, it's a shame dad doesn't have them out playing more often. I always though walnut was a relatively soft hardwood. How does it hold up to use?

Rick All that walnut is stabilized and I consider it a pretty good handle material. Wanna try a set of scales???? And a set of the Mtn Mahogany??

Tim,
Thanks for the offer but I have more wood than I need. There's a 2 x 10 x 10' walnut plank in our model shop that I've been offered along with some iron wood, Bubinga, and various other hardwoods - life is good.
I milled up another set of mahogany scales this morning to go on one of your gifted blanks. Also did a set of E. Indian rosewood, the mahogany is nicer in my opinion.
Rick

Rick Like to see how your mahogany looks when finished. I sure do like the stuff you gifted me. Thanks Tim

Those are awesome! I'm a sucker for walnut, I think it's a beautiful wood!
