John Baker is out of Safety and headed to Nome!
Ramey Smith is 2nd, and has been fastest in the field for the trip over the final 22 miles (Safety to Nome) seven times. But it looks like Baker's lead is too big. He should finish around 10:00 AM AK time.

Well I believe I am rested up for a while. I was told the line I started on lastnight was the fastest one in the plant. The gal training me in said I did really well and that I am catching on very fast. It is a fast paced non stop job. If you have to crap you can't till you have someone to cover for you. I was pretty sore by the time I got done this morning. The gals told me there will be a point where I will think I can't handle it anymore, but after that it will get better. It was very hard to fall asleep, it was too light out. It will take a while to get used to the new schedule.
