I haven't traded rifles in many years and traded off my some of my stock, a 30-06 adl syn and 444 marlin for the win 70 06, a 243 and 308 single hnr for the 25-06 and the 44 mag i never shot for the 243 adl!!! i now have those 3 and a 30-30, 22-250 single shot 270 adl and rem 788 in 22-250. I'am going to finish up my collection this year and have 4 guns that i want to move, I don't use them so going to get 3 holes left in gun cabinet number 2. Any suggestions??? I know i will end up with a 308 bolt, but not sure on the other 2, I hunt everything from bear to varmit so kind of curious as to what others think!!! any suggestions are welcomed!!! Rember, just 3 calibers, maybe a 7 caliber and a 300???

You have some rifles you traded for some others, that you're also possibly looking at trading?

You have pretty much everything you'd ever need for you bears to varmints as per your requirements.

Go to one of the million posts on the 3-4 gun battery and live happily ever after.

Or per the campfire requirements you'd better get a .22, a .223AI, .243AI, .280AI (main requirement), and probably a .338 Win Mag and don't forget the 12g.

yep, traded and got the 30-06, 243, and custom 25-06 that i wanted, no money changed hands but i got quality, especially in the model 70, all 3 drive tacks, just want to finish out with 3 more, i'am done after these 3 and want to make sure I have everything covered, the 06 will cover the elk and mule deer hunt i got planned in colarado next fall, will take the 270 as a backup but I figure I will end up with another 308, either a 7mm08 or 7mm, and either a 300 or 338!! i got a 22lr and 22 mag along with 2 shotguns, I think I will have everything I will ever need, then i'am going to start buying up ammo and reloading supplies.

Guess I would say if you're 22-250 is a Heavy Barrel, get a lighter weight varmint rig or vice versa.

Tailer you're big game rigs to the type of hunting you do as well, or what you intend to do. Get a fly weight of some sort, a faux ti or real ti 7mm-08 is another campfire requirement I believe.

WHY, when you have a 30'06? Thats like a guy who is married to a swimsuit model bragging about picking up a skinny toothless crack whore. What the 308 will do, the '06 will do better.

Glad you are having fun trading, though. It is addictive. now go trade the 308 in on a fast 33 like a 338WinMag or 340WBY. You also don't need a 7mm anything with your current line up. Looks like you are actually pretty well set for any and all non dangerous game.
