I drove a jeep for a long time. The only way to lock up a gun was in a large toolbox I had. Its length limited me to a 24" barrel on a single shot falling block or a 20" barrel on a bolt action. How many bolt action .22-250s come with a 20" barrel?

I often meet people who say they wouldn't hunt with a #1. "What if I need a quick second shot?"

But many of them do hunt with a muzzle loader or bow so they can get in more hunting time.

I have read that the Hagn Single shot, Falling Block Rifle is even better.

But for 15 times as much money, I have to wonder, I there that much room for improvement?

.223.... couldn't be more accurate with me shooting it.
.270.... I think I am going to re-barrel it.

A motivated shooter can reload one pretty fast. Not a hard trick...
