After years of hunting deer and killing them with different rifle rounds. My choice today is the good old 7x57 Mauser with 160 gr bullet
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

I'd hate to be forced to choose between the .243 and .30-30. Both have worked great on a whole bunch of deer for me.

Probably 6.5X55, but not for any particular reason. I use a bunch of them. I probably carry a .308, .223, or .45-70 just as much. They all do about the same thing.

7-08 is my favorite Missouri deer rifle with my 30-06 being a very close second but with unlimited doe killing here in my kneck of the woods I get to use all of my rifles every year.

Seem to always have my STW when shooting deer.But think the 25-06 is my favorite for deer.
