All,
I have a Mannlicher Schoenauer in 7X57 with a Griifin and Howe sidemount, on which I placed a Burris straight 4X. Using the laser boresight, I don't have adequate windage to get on the mark. Does anyone know which screws on the G&H sidemount will adjust the windage?

My 1908 6.5x54 has a G&H mount. It looks to me as if I had the samne problem you have, I would have to loosen the levers and then make lateral spacing adjustments for positioning the scope using the tiny set screws next to the levers. Get the lateral spacing right by adjusting those screws and then retighten the levers.

Oh the trials of the G&H side mounts. When installed properly, buy Griffin and Howe they can be a joy to be hold, when done by some plumber who thinks he is a gunsmith, they become real abortions right quick. 1B got it right for you. You could always call Griffin and Howe and ask they are pretty good people to deal with.

Jim, Hi....I think I would want to look at the pictures of the mount before I have anything to offer.

The early G&H mounts had several types of windage built into them from a screw to a dial. Once scopes were made with windage this was dropped.

If the scope is not centered over the bore you may have one of the offset mounts for a M1 or the like.
