Well I am a little late on the well wishes, but here they are anyway!

I was in northern California Mon-Wed of this week. Do ya know what? It is green out there. In fact, many of the lawns need mowing. Do you remember what the color green looks like?

I do. I saw it in FL a few weeks ago. The first 8 or 9 times mowing the lawn each year is fine, it gets old after that.

Hope your knockin their socks off Ryan! I came up 25 to Webster, SD on my way home from Mitchell on Tuesday. The snow geese are really starting to stage at the edge of the snow line on their trek up nort.

The only thing goose meat is good for is jerky.

Probably....

I got the laughs in a meeting this morning because they were talking about butt fusion.

I chuckled at first. then the contractor said we have a leak in the hole, so we need to go down the hole and do a butt fusion. I nearly lost it, then everyone else did when I asked if that is painfull. grin

Butt Fusion, that's a Ford right? Must be a hybred. laugh

According to the latest "Shooting Times" Winchester is bringing back the model 71, in .348 WCF. Price is $1,469. They're also brining out new variations of the mods 1885, 1892, 94 and 70.

If you like 85's there are LOTS of good ones out there. Many probably better than those Winchester will reinvent. The more recent high and low walls made by Browning and then by Winchester were really quite different than original 85s.

Was hoping to hear something from Ryan this morning. Guess it is still early.

Where about in KS?

Sounds like you have a viable job market. Sooner or later, your ship will come in. Just be patient.

Well, being the father of 3 year old twin boys, I knew it was a matter of time....the wife called me from the YMCA this morning and said, "You gotta come pick up Wyatt, I gotto go to the clinic with Hunter 'cuz he needs stitches on his chin!". So Wyatt is watching cartoons and waiting for his brother to come back. He seems kinda sad. He told me right away when I got there, "Hunter got an owie (ah, how do you spell owie??) and his chin was bleeding and he was crying." How many more of these are in the future?

Good news is that I went the local Viking Sportsman banquet last night and won a Ruger 10/22 and a GLoomis/Pflueger Rod and reel, a half day local guided fishing trip and a tackle box with tackle. Didnt even spend very much.

WOW, you made a haul!

I had stitches twice when I was a kid, about 5 months apart.
if you have twins, expect more times, they will dare each other and try to one up each other enough to do some foolish things at times.

Well the story goes thusly.....Hunter was riding some type of scooter in the gym on his belly and fell off. Apparently his chin was about the first thing to hit the floor, which is kind of rubbery and part of his chin stuck to the floor and part of it kept going. frown Result: 7 stitches. poor little guy didnt think much of the novacain shot. mad

Tzone, I think I am gonna need the 10/22 with the twins coming along. Lauren won one this year at our PF banquet, so that gives me 2, which is conveniently the same number of boys I have. grin Even given the relative cheapness of .22LR cartridges, I might go broke keeping them in ammo! Which is a good thing!

I went a bit nuts a few years ago when the ammo scare was coming. I have like 6-7 bricks of. I have more than I can shoot, so hopefully the kids will shoot too. 10-22's are cheap enough to pick up new. I think I'm going to buy a pink one before fall. My daughter wants one, asks quite a bit...I want to get it before she loses interest.
