Black and Turkey Vultures both often nest on the ground. Each pair tries to find a secluded spot and lays two eggs, so the nestlings usually come in pairs. I have found 'em in rocky Hill Country ravines, in dense undergrowth in a local park, and once in an old, falling down farmhouse. That vomit must be especially disgusting or else coyotes and such would have wiped 'em all out a long time ago.

Well, there ya go - I suspected most babies are buzzards, but it's nice to have proof.

looks like a buzzard.......and beleive it or not they make cool pets..........I used to have one when I lived on the ranch....when it was flying it would come to you when you called it........got alot of laughs watching people pull up to the yard and see a buzzard perched on the fence.......ummmmmmmm....just one word of precaution....don't fall asleep when it's around.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy...���
