I have come across an FN Browning bolt rifle in .264 Winchester Magnum. Not really in the market for a .264, but it's a very nice rifle. Not a "salt wood" model. Price is $950.00. Does this sound reasonable?

I always thought those Brownings were on the heavy side and kind of clunky. JMO.

Yes, on the heavy side, but so beautifully made.

I'd jump on it in that rare caliber.

I believe that it is the second rarest, it is beat out by the .284Win.

Depends...most Browning .264s had 22" barrels; those are not so well thought of. However, some were made w/ 24" barrels, they are scarce, and great rifles. If the latter, it's a steal. If the former, worth the money (but to me, a collector gun vice a shooter, as I'm not interested in a .264 w/ 22" barrel).

If it's a 24" and in good order, I'd buy it.

A "real" Browning and not some jap made imitation.

Nice buy.

Make sure you check the throat.

You're right. These are Belgian FN imitations. LOL.
