i have a 20ga youth rossi that kicks the crap out of my 7yr old what mods. can i do to help the kick .

wood stock?

yes it is a wood stock. he is wanting to turkey hunt with me but is a little scared to shot this thing . i am scared to shot it. he has shot my freinds 870 youth better?

recoil pad. May have to trim the stock some. I had to cut the hell out of my daughter's.

Also, you may be able to add a lead plug to the hole in the stock to give it some more weight.

was it a rossi , and did it help.

it is a rossi, but it was a plastic (pink) stock, and a 410.

My little girl is small for 9 and I took 3 in off the stock, replaced it with a 1" pad and added some small sand bags to the hollow stock.

Yes it helped, but I carried it to/from the stand a few times.
