Interesting in section 3 that I assumed if a president is disqualified that the VP would become President permanently and then appoint a VP. That is apparently not the case. then the Vice President elect shall act as President until a President shall have qualified; The thought of Biden as president is little comfort in removing Obama but apparently that would not be the case. Sooo.... go get 'em birthers! grin No, not really. AMENDMENT XXV
Passed by Congress July 6, 1965. Ratified February 10, 1967.
Note: Article II, section 1, of the Constitution was affected by the 25th amendment.
Section 1. In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.
Section 2. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.
Section 3. Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.
Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.
Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Obama wins again. All of our hopes now rest with Donald Trump and his investigation.
I'm depressed. You don't have much reading comprehension, do you? Actually, I do. I pointed out the flaw in this bill back on April 15th when others were gushing over it. https://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbth..._Arizona_Shoe_Me_The_Proof_L#Post5150780My comment today was really all about blowhard Trump.
I'm better when I move.

Trump might be a vacillation to extremes, Like Gov. Kasich.

Also vetoed Guns on campus. Not our kind of Gov. Here is a link to the Arizona Senate showing Governor Brewer's leter. While I support the idea of guns on campus, the bill was a total piece of crap and really allowed nothing. The following is the txt of the E-mail I got from Gunowners of Arizona. Use the tiny URL thinh as the long version doesn't work. Paul B. If you haven't heard yet, Governor Brewer vetoed SB 1467, the Campus Carry/Public Right of Way bill this afternoon. Here is a link to her veto letter. http://kold.images.worldnow.com/images/incoming/webdocs/SB%201467%20Veto%20Letter%20(4-18-11).pdf If the link does not line wrap, here is the same link in TinyUrl http://tinyurl.com/3qszlrn

Thanks for the link. I read the letter and at the risk of offending the 2A crowd, I will be the first to say her veto was appropiate. I'm sure Az has some fantastic legislaters but some really need to take some lessons in Bill drafting. That Bill/Law would have been struck down in days, not months. It was very poorly drafted and left out elemental definitional guidelines. I don't blame her for not wanting to start all over. Do it right the first time and you'll save time.

Vetoing poorly written bills will make it easier to see through well written bills on both subjects.
Is it too ambitious or too naive to look for an honest politician? Or simply a useful one?
