First choice: my 45-70 Guide Gun with 405 gr Remington JFP's...

Close second: my Ruger 77 MkII in 260 Rem, with either a 129 gr Hornady Interlock, or a 125 gr Nosler Partition...

Third place (tie): My Win 94 in 30-30, with a 170 gr Sierra FP, or my VZ-24 8x57 Mauser with 180 gr Nosler Ballistic Tips...

Honorable mention goes to my 6mm Rem with a Barnes 115 gr Original...though this coming fall I'll be trying the 95 gr Combined Technology ballistic Tip for this cartridge...

Did I mention my 8mm-06 AI with a 200 gr Accubond...?

That's what I get for having too many favorites... smile

They all kill deer and hogs

I like the little 223AI, but the last couple seasons I've been using the 243/243AI pretty heavily and been very impressed with it.

After years of hunting deer and killing them with different rifle rounds. My choice today is the good old 7x57 Mauser with 160 gr bullet
