We're going to be hitting Lake Vermillion for the first time, working out of the Wolf Bay area Any thoughts or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, John

Before I moved to WA I used to fish Vermillion on a regular basis. We stayed at Red Loon Lodge an Half Moon Bay. We used to look for rock bars in 8-15ft of water and the bigger the rocks the better. We were targetting smallmouth bass mainly. Nice walleyes were comon also. That was about 1980. I used to hunt deer and run a spring trapline up that way also, great country.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

NWWCH - I am having a terrible time typing this. I keep hitting something on the keyboard and everything shoots off somewhere, so if I somehow keep posting, sorry to all. We never did get things figured out. Trolled and slung for muskies without success. Did catch some northerns that were in the slot. We stayed at Vermilion River Cottages and Canoe Outfitters. They are actually on the river, but have access to the lake and dockage there as well. Very nice accomodations and extremely helpful folks. We fished mainly in Wake"em Up Bay and Wolf Bay. Some other guys took one from Wake'em Up and one from Fraser Bay. Good Luck, John
