Pretty cool plane. Wish I had started earlier in life. Will search the name and see what the specs are. Thanks

The plane was designed and built by my brother. It is a tandem two place with a 120 hp Jabiru 3300 motor. It weighs 780 +/- lbs with the 29" bush wheels. It's lighter and faster than a cub.
He also built another plane with a different airfoil and rotax 912 motor that performs as well.

Dude, that oughta get you and your bro into Frank Church with no problem. That takeoff didn't even use much in the way of flaps. Impressive.

no flaps used on take off or landing in the video I have a few videos that I took in the FS wilderness but none were in the Raven. The Raven was designed for backcoutry flying in ID and AK this video was taken in April of this year at Pistol Creek http://youtu.be/BewauR_mO9E

I"m impressed but what do I know either. I always thought someone should better the super cub. This may well be it.
Were I in AK, I'd be asking HOW to get a kit. Looks like the engines are 20K more or less.

Looks nice. Should do well with light loads. Is that the AOSS or similiar gear vice the bungees or just covers?
It's not the destination...

labad, it has cub gear with bungee covers.
It was designed to be light sport legal with a 0200 continental, rotax 912 and 3300 Jabiru. Actual weight currently is 804 lbs. Max gross for light sport is 1320 which gives you just over 500 lbs useful load.
A super cub is 1100 lbs and has a 1750 max gross which gives you 650. The Raven can be licensed as experimental and would have a 1500 max gross.

rost, This plane was not designed to beat the super cub. It offers a light sport alternative that performs nearly as well at a fraction lof the cost.
