Cut you might be right. That's a big ole fighting horse for sure. He was boxed in through 3 but driving home and keeping his line. And to have never run on dirt. That's impressive!

I got a genuine freak show walking by, on the way to wherever they are going. The local folks who go (not many, really, the Derby is for tourist $$) generally will, if possible, walk to the track. 160K people make for a LOT of traffic woes, even with the parking lot at UofL, and the Fairgrounds, nearby. I'm just stuck in the middle of all that. On Derby Day, I generally stay off the streets and out of the way.
All kinds of drunken fools out and about, and it'll go on, all night long, with the Derby parties and such. It's smarter, safer and saner to stay out of the partier's way.
