Can anyone give me gouge on a Smith Corona M1903A3 with an RA 8-44 barrel. Is this a sought after rifle or is a Remington more appealing than the Smith Corona?
Plus is $900 good for this? Says its 98% Excellent?

I am no expert, but think the Remingtons are more desirable. With that said, my first center-fire rifle was a Smith Corona that was purchased in cosmoline. It would shoot well under MOA with 150 Hornadys, IMR4350 and factory stock and sites. I wish I still had that rifle.
$900 may be a little high, but I haven't kept up with them lately.

SCs are the rarest if 100% original and correct. They work as did 1945 K98s but compared to a pre WW One 03, or an interwar 03.... well like comparing that 1945 K98 to a 1932 Mauser Werke K98.
An SC in the cosmo and unissued would be a $900 or more rifle to a collector.
