Hello All,

I bought the new Casio Commando smart phone. Supposed to be water proof to three feet for a half hour. Well 1 min in a glass of water was too much for this phone. Fried.

My other normal phone g'Zones are water proof.

Don't waste your time on the commando. A bunch of hype.

So was this an accident or a "watch this" moment?

Dying to hear how you managed to accidentally drop it into a glass of water and not be able to get it out for a whole minute. wink

I'm smarter than all of you - I won't own one of the damned things.... If you want to talk to me, call on a landline, e-mail me, or come see me. smile

This is my third gZone. My other two are water proof. I've thrown them in swimming pools. I test all my equipment to make sure it's as advertised. Did the same to my other phones.

This one is not water proof. Not even close. There were air bubbles coming out of it from every location.

In the commercial for the damn phone they show a guy in scuba gear using it. Which is possible with the boulder and the rock. So a glass of water shouldn't have been much of a test.

I gots to ask, what do you tell them when you took the phone back? Were their questions asked when you tell them you submerged the phone intentionally?
