Not exactly a favorite, but a good one nonetheless: the scene near the end of Saving Private Ryan when the older, veteran James Francis Ryan goes back to the cemetery in Normandy to pay respects to Capt. Miller. I know that scene is coming, but every time, it still gets a big ol' well-up goin' in my eyes.
That being said, the first 27 minutes of that same movie may be the most intense ever filmed, along with the first 15 minutes of Full Metal Jacket (Sgt. R. Lee Ermey's monologue).

What could be a sadder way to end a life than to die having never hunted with great dogs, good friends and your family?
"All right, I'm coming out. Any man I see out there, I'm gonna shoot him. Any sumbitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only gonna kill him, but I'm gonna kill his wife, all his friends, and burn his damn house down."
In "Platoon" when Willem Dafoe is running towards the chopper after being left for dead. Also at the end of the movie when the base camp is being overrun be the Viet Cong. I watched "Raising Arizona" a couple of nights ago, hadnt seen it in a long time. I liked the part when the dye pack goes off in the car after they rob the bank. Also when Cage and Goodman are fighting in the trailer and really tearing the place apart, especially when Cage gets rub burn on his hands when they drag across the ceiling.
