I have a Hensoldt with a 28mm tube, and I want to mount it. I have no idea where or how to get a shim to be able to mount this scope into a set of 30mm rings.
Anyone have any ideas, or point me in the right direction?

Is that 28mm or 26mm ? If 26mm you can get a shim kit from Brownells to reduce the ID of 30mm rings.

I used a micrometer to measure and it is definitely 28mm. It is a scope I bought from Germany, and it had the rails for the claw mounts removed. It is too big for 1" and too small for 30mm rings.
I am thinking that i need to have rings made to proper size (ouch, just sounds expensive!) or find some way to shim it in there like they do with ARMS rings among others where they use the shim rings to make a 1" scope fit 30mm rings.
