I know the campfire is very well veiwed and I have a request for a classic American cartridge. It would be the 300 savage. I think the 300 savage in it's day was one of the best and deserves some honor. I'm trying to get as many Number 1's as I can afford in classic rifle cartridges. So for I have the .405 win,300 H&H,30/40 Krag, 7x57,6.5x55 and 250 Savage. My short list is the 30/30 winchester. Thank you

I agree with you about the 300 Savage being a classic cartridge that does not get the respect it should.
Another cartridge that would be a good addtion would be the old 8x57 Mauser. Still a potent round when loaded right.

I think a .257 Wby in a #1S would be pretty nice...

257Deland, Tell Jason @ Lipsey's you want a .280 AH(with the 24" barrel). Good chance we could get one someday!

A .22 Hi Power or a .375 Winchester would be cool to me but probably a considerable long shot....no pun intended.

Ruger should market the AH on a permanent basis; limit it to a few of most marketable chamberings, and have a limited edition special every year. That would be neat!!

Stuart Your right of course the 303 British is a classic if there ever was one. What a proven military cartridge that sent a many to the great beyond.I'm running out of money and room. A 303 is in my future.

I've got a few in 1A's, a couple of 1B's, 1V's and a 1AH and the best handling of the bunch is the 25-06 1AH. Since Ruger dropped the 1B, now would be a good time to intro the 1AH. Let's begin with a 7-08.

300 savage is a good one. I though Ruger did a run with 303 british within the past 2 years.
260 remington would be nice too.
But, they already release the ultimate caliber....6.5x55

I Ruger could cook up a muzzleloader on the #1 platform that would be super cool. Make it with interchangeable breach blocks so it can take both 209 primers and #11 caps; 50 caliber with a 1/48" twist. Keep the sights and rib, use a 1A forearm.
