I had thought of the same thing a couple of years back...but nothing ever came of it. I was really interested in a 6.5-30WCF Impoved.

EABCO's 6.5 Bench Rest Magnum is a fireformed .30-30 case with the shoulder pushed forward and the body blown out.

i have played with quite a few variants on the 30-30 case in assorted TC's, carbine and pistol form.

The 6mm, .25, and 6.5x30-30 all have moderate shoulder angles, some body taper, but with the shoulder pushed forward to increase case capacity. the 6mm Bullberry, .25bullberry, etc are good examples.

the Ackley Improved versions have case taper blown out to nearly straight wall, sharp shoulders, shorter necks, and are pretty much just necked down versions of the 30/30AI.

i never got into the 6.5's myself, .25's were always my thing, but i do hunt a good bit with some friends who do and have had great success with the 6.5x30-30, 6.5x30-30AI, 6.5jdj, and 6.5 Mini-Dreadnought (.264x220swift)

s a pic for case size comparison, this is a lineup of some of the .25's i shoot in Tc's...kinda gives you an idea at least of whet the cases would look like on your 6-5 versions.
