Thats pretty cool looking. The cooper in that washer is probably worth the money. Savage like other firearm companies of there day made a lot of products other than firearms.

I like it grin

They were supposed to be the first spin-dry washing machines, quite advaced for the day -
Patent 1712107
1766227
1842154
1850821
2579309

There must have been some patent issues with the design, the main patent was 1842154, filed in 1923 but not granted until 1932.

Most people with an inventor's mindset, like Mr. Savage, are interested in everything they see or hear about. Although washer/dryer isn't the first thing I would have thought would also be on his mind, turn of that century was about the time folks were figgerin' out being clean on more than one day a week, wasn't so bad smile I'll hafta go out to the shop and look at my collection of mouse traps...and see if any of 'em say "Savage" smile

Mr. A.W.Savage was long out of the picture when the washer was added to the line up. But that is not to say that he would have passed on the idea. smile

Savage...never say "never".
