Savage 111 long range hunter, .338 lapua. Is this push feed or control feed? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4krI7_ZAXQ4&feature=relatedI am looking for sonmething that could double as a long range shooting rifle, and do some dangerous game hunting with too althought probably not able to it most of africa, but in north america this would be good for everything I think. I could take it to a gunsmith and have them solder on some iron sights. This is an attractive option.. but it has to be control round feed to function as a dangerou game gun.

Find you a Winchester Model 70 CRF action and you will have one of the best for a dangerous game build, but there nothing wrong with a good push feed for the build.
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Don't worry about dangerous game, just wear your chainmaille, carry a big spear and go forth into the woods worry free. I have found that fried chicken grease works REALLY well as a bear repellent. The scent of chicken grease is foreign to them and they avoid the smell like the plague. They won't come near you. Put some on your tent, your boots and put generous amounts on any bare skin. Flinch
