So is muzzle loader season a bad time to light off bad ass fireworks at Chickenbuck?

Great pics Dave and Tom.

Tom, you saw more bears than we did. The wife and SIL were the only ones that saw a bear out of our group.

what a weather weekend, huh? Just fantastic! If we had any more fun, the democrats would tax us! Did the lake thing until we were all water logged and sunburnt. We need a day indoors pretty bad....man it feels just wrong to say that! Even though we applied plenny of SPF 475, there were still a few missed places.

Then we topped it all off with a nice fireworks show and called it a weekend. No work at all this weekend!

Cole went tubing and even got up a couple times on a homemade plywood/ski contraption. It sure is nice to see him looking like a normal kid.

It was a full hour of explosive fun. Lots of adults laughing. grin Somehow we didn't need bail money.

Bill,

We saw 9 total. On Thrusday night the we were out on the deck drinking Captain Cokes and smoking cigars and we heard a plastic "crunch." Kind of looked at eachother and didn't think anything of it. A minute or so later we heard it again. Andy put a flash light on and we could see a white garbage bag moving up the sidewalk. I flipped the front light on and he dropped the bag and it was a black blurr. That guy came within 20' of us. We were not being quiet and he didn't think anything of it.

That is when I thought the Bacon Bucktail would have been a good idea, but I was the only one that thought so. Those pictures would have been great. Catch and release balck bears.

I actually could have used a pickup truck poly tarp pool like that to cool off in yesterday, what a scorcher!

It was hot here too. 88 most of the afternoon. I cannot imagine what those folks in Texas are going through with all the 100+ degree temps.

Now that it is after the Fourth of July, AND....AND....I got my hardcover FALL edition Cabela's catalog....can I officially have my first bout of fall fever???

I'm feeling a little reddish today. It was beautiful weekend to spend on the pontoon.

Good to hear about Cole B-man!

Hey I have a question for ya.

What do you know about the Weatherby PA-08 pump shotgun?

I found one NIB for 3 bills but don't know anything about them.

We all know that one isn't real.

Dayton closed the state parks on Thursday evening.

Great pictures, all.Looks like you people had a great weekend.Good!Muffy looked relaxed.
The news concerning Cole is very welcome and heartening.Thank you for the update,Berettaman.
Rooster, the Weatherby P-08 is made for them in Turkey. What many people do not realize is that Weatherby is now just a brand and has no manufacturing facilities.Kinda like Charles Daly, which is now defunct, was. The shotgun is well made and sturdy and got some good reviews. The Remington 870 would be a better choice in the price range. Many people do not realize just how doggone good the Mossberg Shotguns are and they are USA made to boot.I suggest you look at them in your shopping.

If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.
