Anyone ran it much yet? Your thoughts? Is it as soft next to skin as they claim? Thanks

I have and run the 250. It's nice. It pills quicker than Smartwool or Ibex though. Not sure the difference in price, but they 250 is more "open" in weave than some others I have.

Please God, give me some good tags this year....

I haven't done much with it other then try it on. It's soft like they claim and pretty similar to my icebreaker stuff which I have used a lot and never felt that it itched. My Large came in at exactly 8 oz. The arms were a little shorter then I would like but I'm at the extream on their sizing chart.

I went back and forth but I decided to give the set a try this year. Last year I took an Icebreaker 200 and 260 and the Kuiu 185 and 250 togeather are only 3.6 oz heavier then the Icebreaker 260 alone. Also the Kuiu set is probably more versitile. I can't imagin wearing the 200 and 260 togeather.

Only merino wool I have is the cabelas stuff and I can't or would really rather not wear it next to my skin. I've heard the better stuff doesn't itch like the cabelas stuff though?

Everytime I have bought something with the Cabelas label on it I have been dissapointed.

I love the KUIU merino, I've had softer merino in a sweater, but this isn't a sweater. I wore it at the gun range when the temps went from 58 foggy and damp to 80 and sunny. I'm excited to put these though the ringer.

I have the 250 and the 185. Its fairly soft but the softer brushed side of the fabric has the camo print on it and is on the outside. In my mind they would have put the brushed side on the inside.

It doesnt cause me any issue, but no merino ever has.

I've worn the 185 as a single layer on several exercise hikes the last few months. With use and washing the pile is fluffing up (guessing thats correct verbage) and geting better.

I could do without the odd ribbon type laundry tag. It annoyed me and was removed after the first couple minutes. Maybe its intended to be removed before use? Washing is a bit of a pain. Care instructions say no dryers so I have to hang dry. All my other stuff except the outer shells is "cold gentle/medium-low heat".

I think you must be right about that tag! It's huge! I removed all of mine right after I tried them on and decided that I was going to keep them.

I like the 185. I've used it in 80+ temps and it performed well. I've not run in it but it seems the equal of smartwool and icebreaker stuff and is slightly softer.

I like mine. Went on a scouting hike last week with a 30 pound pack in 101 degree weather and you don't get that damp feeling next to the skin. Really soft with no itch. The 185 is great next to the skin but I haven't tried the 250 yet.

You guys are right, the tag is meant to be removed.

I really like mine, no itch at all, and very versatile.
