I have caught a few and released them all. Since I moved from Florida a long time ago I guess the regulations on inshore fishing have changed a lot.

I've cleaned more blacktip sharks than I would care to remember. Fried Shark bites were mighty popular in Florida back in the 80's. Using a Redfish for sharkbait? I wouldn't consider blacktips in the same ballpark as Reds for eating let alone better. Sharks eat any thing.
