Yeah I had the same problem with my MSR Ti pot when I would put the canister away wet. No I make sure it is dry or something is in between the pot and canister. Im really liking my SOL Ti.

Amazon was selling the JB Sol Ti for $110 shipped after one of their resellers sold out just before the 4th of July. I checked Amazon on the 4th and ordered one, the next day Amazon raised their price back up to $149. These stoves are selling fast, glad I ordered when I did!

The only complaint I had about the ti is the Cozy it comes with is worthless. I called Jetboil and they replaced it for free with a more useful cozy. If any of you are unhappy with yours you should give them a call.

I thought about doing that also, but that will add .001 ounces to my setup, so I said NO WAY!

And pee in it to wash it out after cooking so you can save your good water for the morning brew.

You have to use a 1/4" piece of mylar tape then cut the tags off the coozie, scrape the paint off the canister and swiss cheese the handle.

major weight savings...

I'd be curious to see what they replace it with also. I just got mine in the mail. Great looking little kit, but the cozy is all but worthless.

The cozy off the alum version would be my guess?

I would have to agree MtnHntr, the one on the aluminum seems to be a bit thicker compared to the Ti cup. Expect the weight to go up, which kind of defeats the purpose of getting the Ti version. I use the handle to so i'm not that concerned about the cozy.

How much heavier is the replacement cozy (I'm also guessing it's from the alu pot) and is it that much more effecient?

For me the only need for the cozy is how it relates to boil time. My freezer bag has it's own cozy for re-hydrating and eating.

That's the best price i've seen yet, even shipped to Alaska. That's crazy about the weight comparisons, I must have overlooked the Ti not including the cup in the weight specs.

That's ok, the Ti version should be a bit tougher to break compared to the alumnium and trust me, they can and do break.
