Not a 'hater' so I guess I get to post.
The M700's are OK but my .30-06 built in 2005 doesn't shoot nearly as well as my .308 Win built 36 years ago.

over the years i've owned and hunted with 10-15 model 700s, but am now down to just one, a 75' or so bdl in 243 win. it is an accurate deer/hog killin' machine. i plan on all 4 of my grandkids learning to kill deer with it starting in 2012. while i've had a few newer 700s, i prefer the older ones.

I still want a CDL in .30-06, but Remington's website says they are "discontinued" in that caliber (???)

Say what you want about the earlier 700s but the early model SA 700 Ti is by far the best - IMHO.
