He's still zonked out. Really doped up, cries when he does wake up, throat hurts. I think they gave him enough to knock out a 250 pound man.

Get well Joey so you can enjoy the summer. Just remember that right now you can have all the ice cream and pop cycles that you can handle and won't have to share with anyone.

I hope Joey has a very speedy recovery.Summertime is probably a good time to do a tonsilectomy.
I got up at dawn as usual on Wednesday so that I can go to the gun club and get some shooting done early before the heat gets so bad.I am usually the first one there at about 7AM.Today I got a chance to shoot the new Savage in .17HMR.It only took about seven shots to get the Simmons scope zeroed.DANG,these little rifles are ACCURATE and a pure pleasure to shoot. They will make you forget all about shooting your .22's.Absolutely NO,repeat NO recoil.Like shooting a BB gun in that respect.I hear they are great on coyotes, pigs, pests in general.Waiting eagerly to go again.

Thanks to the MN crew for sending the storms our way. We got hit a little before 10 PM last night. Winds in excess of 70 MPH, Horizontal rain. Power went out shortly after the storm started.

We ended up with 3-4 inches of rain. Some of which found it's way into our basement family room. Ended up tearing out the carpet. Trees down all around us, but none on our lot. The city shut down all streets this AM to allow crews to move the trees.

Temps near the century mark this afternoon. Power came back on about 3 PM. Come on Fall!

Hey stan I have a savage .17HMR also, a bolt action with a little detachable magazine. Mine is a heavy barrel stainless with a nice little thumbhole brown laminated stock. I have a sinver burris FFII 3-9 on mine that got kicked off my .264 in favor of a VXII 3-9

I just love that little savage and you are right they shoot really nice huh?

I normally shoot 20 grainers out of mine. Aint it somethin when a 20 grainer is considered a "heavy bulley"?

grin

Bill, hate to tell you but a doosy of a storm passed over us this morning in about 3 strong waves. I am not sure of the direction it's going but you are more likely to get the twin cities storms rather than our border town storms up here.

Dave most of the storms that track your way stay North of us.

Sorry to hear about your basement Bill. frown By the time you're done fixing all the stuff on your house it will be a full remodel.

I hope you didn't get much damage.

Good that he is sleeping. It will help for when he isn't. laugh

When I got the happy juice from the doc last week, it took me through the next day to be awake.

Don't think we'll have much damage to deal with Tom. We have an insurance adjuster coming over in the next couple of days to check things out. I may just paint the floor in the family room with an epoxy paint instead of recarpeting. Be easier to deal with in case this ever happens again.

Wife and I drove around to check out the damage last night. Lots of trees on houses. Makes our event pale in comparison. Bukholt Park up on the Wisconsin River lost a bunch of big oaks and white pine. Bet most of them were at least 100 years old.

Good luck Berettaman! I'm taking the wife and two little tykes to Yellerstone for a week to meet up with family. I haven't been there for 15 years and my wife and kids have never been. Should be a ball.
