I am a novice and I keep reading about the necessity of running a DI gun "wet". Wet how? Wet with what? What say you? Thanks...

Any part of the bolt and carrier that is worn shiny needs lube. Just don't get any in the chamber. Here's a good read. http://www.ar15.com/content/swat/keepitrunning.pdf

you really can't over do it in the bolt carrier group. Therefore it is "wet", with oil or lube

You could always get a Nickel Boron bolt carrier group.. http://www.aimsurplus.com/product.a...&groupid=301&search=nickel+boron For an idea of what this stuff is capable of.. look for Fail Zero bolt carrier group.. and then save the $ through Aimsurplus. This site isnt' the only one who offers it.. it's just the first I cold get to: http://www.demontactical.com/fail-zero-kit.html

I like that, I always remember when I was about 16 an old man told me the woman was the only machine that produced it's own lubrication, so you can't wear it out.

If the lube is running out from the trigger pins or the joint of the upper and the lower then you have too much lube.
If hard carbon fouling is building up on the bolt carrier or upper then you need more lube.
Use a good synthetic and go overboard first until it starts to get on your hands as you shoot. Cut back from there and you will find the sweet spot pretty soon.
The important places are the guide rails of the BCG and the locking lugs and the gas rings.
Too much makes your rifle a mess to handle and just right makes your bolt carrier group easy to wipe clean after shooting 500 rounds.
