Loved it that my guy, Al Davis, Abstained from the vote. Always tweakin an NFL tail or two when he can. I am hopeful and excited. One of the sticking points, I have heard, was a right of first refusal on free agent contracts. I would very much like to see a ROFR, as I am weary of players who get drafted, then deveolped, and finally when they reach their full potential break the hearts of the fans who watched them grow into ther roles and bought the jersy's etc then BOOM, they are of to a big city franchise. ALso really like the part about a salary FLOOR! This is long overdue and will keep the cheapass franchise owners from continuing to off all the good players and also break the hearts of fans. "Yeah, we are so sorry to see (insert name of great player here) buth we are confident that the kid we just drafted in the 7th round from greenwidget state (and whome we only have to pay $200,000 a year for) will be an upgrade at the position" Yeah, right. All in all I like the agreement as I understand it and.... GOOOOOOO RAAAAAYYYYYDDAAAAHHHHZZZZZZZZ!!!!!

David...I'm hearing the player vote is all but gauranteed.
At least we'll have something going on during the miserable months of Jan/Feb.

but the actual details are hard to find so far. Mark, you got that right. Of all sports, activity within the NFL is the most difficult to disclose. It's always been that way. I'm usually in the know by now but this one has been tight lipped.

Players will receive 55 percent of national media revenue, 45 percent of NFL Ventures revenue, and 40 percent of local club revenue. Interesting and sort of a selection process and game changer!
