So I've now spent a day with these new binos. After selling off some goodies I decided to give Doug a call and try the new CL's. Yep small and compact (4.7" long, 4.5" wide, under 18 Oz.) these things should be quite handy. The outer covering is nice and grippy, being new of course everything works smoothly and seem to be easy on my eyes. Typical swaro quality feeling throughout and the focus wheel is in the proper place. In view they compare very well with my 2 year old 10x42 SLC's. As much as an average Joe can tell in a day; I'm liking em'.

No offense but they're kinda ugly.
Are they made in China now? :^)

They look like Batman's binocular.

Good god we're talking about a pair of binoculars, not his wife.
IMO they ARE ugly compared to SLCs or ELs. But that wouldn't stop me from owning a pair myself AT ALL. Maybe it's just a bad pic.
Apologies if I offended.

Apologies if I offended. The SLCs and ELs do look better, but I think these look nice.

Very nice handwerk. Don't they come in various colors also? Yep, green, and, also black. Nice Randy!!! Thinking this sample will find its way into my pack in November.

Actually the eyepiece diopter adjustment is great. Simpler design therefore cheaper to produce, and the movement is very firm so it'll stay put. I like!

My only concern was it staying put. Never seen it, so if that is the case, no biggie. Had a lot of other binocs in the past where it moved constantly. Like the locking center one on my Ultravids.
