I was going to spend $200.00 for a Levergun Leather sling but I found this New Old Stock sling for $18.00 out the door. It was made by a company called Rocky Mountain. It was dirty from years of storage but it cleaned up nice.

Looks nice and well made. Make sure the lower strap isn't dried out if it has been laying around for awhile.

The leather seems strong, and I conditioned it. I don't notice the smell but I only hunt into the wind so it's a non-issue for me. The scope is a 2-7X32 Nikon Prostaff.

I must admit to using one when culling piggies. Sometimes you would catch a herd in open ground. Ya' needed to be able to grab an extra boolit or two on a few occasions.

I think a belt-fed weapon would be best for piggies....

Last year I met up with a guy at one of our leases in the early pre-dawn hours to go sit in our treestands. He loaded his magazine on his 700, then filled his Buddy, and then put the rest of the box in his pack! I asked, "how long are you staying out"? He replied,"til noon". I said,"Do you think you will need 20 rounds"? He said, "you never know".....

I was talking to a Remington Rep a few years ago who carried a minimum of a box of ammo when he hunted... I asked him how many tags he had.... " One".... Then the razzing started...and yeah, he had a Bubba Buddy...

Where I hunt it's worth being ready to spend several days in the woods. I'm always prepared to do just that. http://www.levergunleather.com/
