Good job rrroae!

With a family reunion/fish fry over the weekend and relatives visiting from out of state this week it's been a little tough this week. My results:

Start-192
Week 1-185.5
Week 2-182.5

I was hoping to lose more than 3 pounds this week, but I'm OK with it. It wasn't a great week for sticking to my plan. With 9.5 lbs lost in the last 2 weeks I'm already feeling a pretty significant difference in the fit of my clothes.

I got weighted at the doctor's office yesterday.....and it wasn't good. According to their scale, I have gained back 12 pounds in the last week. I don't even know how that is possible, considering that the entirety of my "cheating" during the past week was having two hotdogs and two slices of watermelon over the course of around three days. When I got weighted last week, I also got a steroid injection, which makes your appetite go up (hence the hotdogs and watermelon), but apparantly can also cause you to retain water. The weight gain must be from the water retention, as I actually feel like I've gotten thinner in the last week - my pants are so loose that I am either going to have to cut some additional notches in my belt or buy a smaller pair of jeans.

I'll just have to keep my nose to the grindstone and stick with it. All I ate yesterday was about a double handful of blueberries (half in the morning, half at night) and a turkey burger patty with a little ketchup.

Brian.

Way to stick with it fellas!!

It's a great feeling when your pants start feeling loose.

Keep your minds right and lets keep rolling. I gain strength and focus by having you fellas do this with me and together, we'll beat the hell out of those extra lbs.

Brian, if your pants are feeling looser, screw the scale.

Wed 8-10-11 weigh-in,,, 313 lbs, up 10 from the start,,, I don't think this diet is working, so today, I'm going on the juice diet a la "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead". I'm hopeful for next weeks weigh-in.

Ok not a lot of loss this past week, but knew that it was getting ready to slow down. [Linked Image] Still eating the same and doing five days a week at the gym.

Ummmmm--I don't have a dog in this hunt BUT by swimming in the Atlantic for the last 5 days--darn near all day long, I dropped over 10 lbs. Guess I'll have to move to the beach to lose weight! wink

This a worthy contest! Good job.

178.8 this morning. 182 would be nice! Up like 3 pounds, which was the idea....Really wanted to go raw in the next meet, but my raw numbers are not up to snuff (still way over the world record). Next two meets will be equipped, then train for 400 raw. Looking for 550 this meet.

Congrats to the guys losing and a big KEEP AT IT, to those who are struggling. Don't give up!

Where are the rest of the weigh in results for the past week? I know we've got more guys signed up than who have posted so far.

Keep at it, Ward! At least you aren't gaining, that's at least a start. Start burning those calories and it'll be all down hill from there. cool

OK, so today I'm @ 218. My daughter drove 700 miles to see me last week: who was I to turn away the homemade fruit tarts she made for me?

I'm sure I'll be in good shape come next Wednesday.

I understand, you don't want to be rude do ya'? wink

That miserable wife of mine (T.I.C. wink ) made a wild blueberry pie on Tuesday and I've felt compelled to have a sliver of it with a small scoop of vanilla ice cream each of the last 2 evenings, breaking one of my self-imposed dieting rules against evening snacking.
