I have the same motor in my truck as the 'stangs do, but not as much HP. I'd like to know whats different...and change it.

Thanks Rooster. That's an interesting read. My friend here at work is trying to talk me into a chip.
Any of you guys have experience with them.

My SIL chipped his chevy S10. He said he could tell the difference. I wouldn'd mess with a chip until after your factory warranty expires as chip may void the warranty.

The new chips have a "factory" setting on them so you can set it back for warranty work.

pretty sure the 'stang engine is tuned for scooting around, the truck engine is tuned for pulling or hauling. Reminds me of the hp numbers in the dohc engines I was looking at awhile back.Lots more Hp,but you had to have the engine turning much faster to see it.In a mustang, usefull. In a truck, not so much.Ill take low end grunt anyday for a truck engine. also like the 300 six ford used to have ,versus the 302 v8.The 300 was way better for pulling than the 302.the 302 was better in a car.

I had a couple trucks with the 300 in it. I swear they'd run without oil, tough as they are. I'm just not brave enoung to try it.

This seems to be the best place to ask MN questions so.....I have to go to a class in St. Paul allllllllllll of next week, have any of you heard of Bandana Square? I guess that is where my class is, and I found a hotel that had Bandana square in its name, it is a Holiday Inn so by Monday morning I will be an expert on everything, ug until then, how in the hell do I get there from Moorhead? ps Its kinda like the google maps, I can follow I-94 until I need to make my first turn.....
