I bought one for $150 once.'77 f100 ,I think.no floor in the cab,no key.Had no intention of buying it,but it started by hooking up a wire on the coil, and shorting across the solenoid with a pliers in the dead of winter ,-20 below,no choke.
You could drive it in 3rd gear, and stop and start at intersections without shifting out of third.Just let out the clutch at idle, and that old 300 would torque you off the line, even pulling a boat on a trailer.I riveted some galvanized in for a floor, and had a locksmith make keys for it.Installed a manual choke, brakes, and a exhaust manifold gasket(pretty easy) ,and drove it one summer to work.
If I had room to store it,I would still have it,but I sold it to a friend ,who commuted 35 miles each way on the freeway with it on the freeway ,as fast as it would go with the 3 speed tranny. Its probably still out there somewhere,it would have made a great hunting truck.

ps Its kinda like the google maps, I can follow I-94 until I need to make my first turn..... smile
,you can take 94 right to snelling ave, then head north for a few blocks.I worked just a few blocks from there ,up until a few months ago.
You'll be very close to the state fair grounds,if you didnt know that.

I will be staying at the Holiday Inn, not sure where my classes are, but I think they are just across from the holiday inn.

I didn't know I would be close to the fairgrounds.

What's all this talk of quare bananas? grin

We have 10 gallons of washed choke cherries in the freezer. They measured out to 10 gallons packed tight in one gallon zip lock bags.

We even had to defrost our big freezer yesterday to make room. And boy did we make room, we got rid of about 8 cubic feet of ice (it was bad) and we tossed a lot of very old freezer burned food. It's a shame but it's a fresh start.

Had to get them choke cherries froze before they started turning to wine themselves. grin

Me and the boys are likely heading to the cabin for some mowing, trimming and blading of the road.

For entertainment I think there is a shuttle at Bandana Square that would take you to the state fair..In Bandana Square they have a train model museum www.tcmrm.org/..... Also Saint Paul Saints might be playng only couple blocks away.... Como Zoo and Como Lake is right up the road... I grew up not far away from there kinda know the area....
