We're publishing one of my books every year now. My new collection of hunting stories, BORN TO HUNT, will be out in October.

For next year I am trying to decide between a new optics book, and a book on rifle troubleshooting and handloading.
Which one?

Mule Deer;
Well first off, unless something happens to me that prevents me from reading by October, please consider one of the "Born to Hunt" books sold and being sent here to southern BC.

I'd prefer a book on trouble shooting rifles as well. Your stock fitting chapter could be reprinted every few books too - it's one of the better explanations I've run across.

When it came out originally in some magazine - Rifle maybe?? - I sent bought a copy and sent it to another member here who had some questions about it.

All the best to you and Eileen in the upcoming season JB.

I would like to see an optics book because the field has changed so much lately.

+2 on rifle trouble shooting and handloading. Seems to me like there's more stuff out there on optics. Gun nutz like solutions to common problems, explained by someone who's been there, done that with the right research and a common sense approach, easily understood and followed.

A good example is your case annealing technique. Very simple, well explained, easy to do; the brass is just right, not too soft.

IMHO, shooter have an unquenched appetite for such info.

Best regards to you and keep those projects coming,

DF

A book on troubleshooting, etc., would be most helpful.

I'm voting for the optics book for the same reason as Royce.

Add me to this list. Between emeritus and ring man I need no further info on optics than what I can learn from them here...

John. First off all the best to you and Eileen. I can only buy optics not work on them so will have to muddle through on my own comparing glass side by side to make the decision. I am however an inveterate tinkerer and reader. Hint. I enjoy reading about tinkering. As a one eyed old Bear Optics are important to me but....Bear

Troubleshooting and handloading gets my vote. I'd buy an optics book but fear it would be out of date very soon as the optics market changes so fast now. I recently saw two optics ads from companies I'd never heard of before and I read this forum often.

JB, there's this book publishing heavyweight who winters in the Keys and who spends his summers in Wyoming you may wish to contact. wink
