What do I have? 25-35 Win. 20" barrel, straight gr1p with shotgun stock, hard rubber butt plate with Savage logo,no checkering, schnabel forend , Marble auto flex tang peep with large disk, buckhorn with"savage Arms Corp Utica patent pending",bead front sight on what appears integral or soldered on base. Base is tapered front ramp with square rear. Serial number places manufacture in 1913.Most of bluing on barrel, receiver about 40%. Lever doesn't show case hardening. Believe the stock has been refisished, crack on left side of tang.

Nice rifle due to the 25-35. Those featherweight 1899H's are one of the easiest handling Savages made.

Yes and no. Yes, one sees a lot of rifles with the two sights in place (probably stuck on to keep all of the sights with the gun). No, because one can't possibly use them in conjunction with one another. I shook my head in wonder when I saw someone trying to get three sights in alignment, and then tried to use them that way.
