I am looking for a holster/rig to pack a SW 44 mag while riding and hunting.
Friend has a very nice rig that is adaptable to carry either across the body, off the shoulder or on your hip. Unfortunately, the maker is out of business. This type of a versatile rig is what I'm looking for.
My friend's rig works extremely well, the holster will lay over the cantle while riding and keeping the gun available and handy. With a quick adjustment, it can be put over a shoulder and lays very nicely kind of between the chest and under the arm.

I agree with Cariboujack. I have the guides choice holster and couldn't be happier. Good stuff. My buddy just bought the same rig for his Ruger Alaskan today after seeing the rig.

good job, I was going to link it for you yesterday but didn't get to it. That is what I was going to suggest. Either that or the simply rugged. Ringler is a local guy here. He makes some nice stuff.
