I am a vanilla convert.
I had 2 does come and lick a tree I had doused with a 2:1 solution of water and vanilla extract.
Just don't use it in the early season in the south unless you like yellow jackets.

I've used doe scents and seen doe get a whiff and bolt. I quit using it for that reason.

Have had exactly one deer come in to Code Blue doe in estrus. Was hunting on the ground. That booger was on top of me before I knew what was happening. And as soon as I spotted him, he hauled out of there. Very large mature deer that came from a direction I never expected him to come from. But I know he smelled the lure cause he knocked it down from the limb I had it hanging on.

I use Vanilla on my bear baits. Know someone that spritzed 'nilla on his pop up blind in NY last year, for cover scent during deer archery season. Came back to find it ripped to shreds by a black bear.
If three or more people think you're a dimwit, chances are at least one of them is right.

i have used hawgs synthenic .they have a larger bottle. there was a video out a few years ago, shows a-way fred abbas spraying the area and a mock scrape. looked pretty good.Ihave tried it in scrapes and i get results. the scrapes are hit fairly fast.i also used some deer lure from i believe foggy montain. it was on close out paid $2.00 a bottle used it to make a sent trail, had a nice six pointer hit that trail and walk right to my stand like he was on a rope.so yes they work all the time doubtful. good luck.

Back before my wife hit menopause, I used her spent tampons to lure in bucks during the rut. I would put a couple in one of those mesh bags that onions come in, and hang it from a branch up-wind of my stand. I killed a 168 5/8 buck that was circling around as he was crossing a small stream at the bottom of a hollow. Inside spread was 24 5/8" with lots of mass. He was a typical 8 pointer, but had some sticklers. There were 14 points that I could hang a ring on. The G2's were very tall.
You might think I'm pulling your leg, but if you haven't seen my wife, you wouldn't understand the draw.
This was before I had ever heard of Tinks 69 or any other scent. I did it at the advice of my grand dad.
I have a picture around here somewhere. I'll see if I can scan it. This was way before digital cameras.

I have heard of the tampon thing a time or two but have never tried it.
