Hey Everyone, I am looking for a Carter thumb release. Since college is starting I am looking for a used one that will be reasonable in price. If anyone has a used one that they would be willing to sell. Please send me a pm.

Okay, so I figure the big round thingy(technical term) on the left is the trigger that is actuated by the thumb, but what is the small lever looking thingy to the right of the trigger?
Also, is this type of release difficult to get used to? Are they only for target shooting or are they suitable for hunting also?
thanks.....Jeff

thanks.....Jeff Been shooting 5 spot, 3D, & hunting with Carter thumb release(s) for the past 5 years - wouldn't change back. The thumb release naturally facilitates rotation of the wrist counter clockwise (for a RH shooter), which puts the knuckles against the face/cheek for a consistent, solid anchor point each and every time. Personally, I can't say the same for an index finger/wrist strap style release. Your mileage may vary.
