2010 whitetail, 257 Roberts Nosler 115 grain Partition, 226 yards. Taxidermist was severly injured in an automobile accident last December and it put his work way behind, however his communication with me was excellent.

What a beauty. Did he come from your farm? No, a neighbors land up the valley. Bunch of us had just completed a drive and I was posted on the perimeter of the CRP ground the drivers pushed thru. When drivers got to the end, I took a couple of steps to meet them and caught movement out of my right eye. This buck was tearing through the CRP we just made a drive thru, jumped a fence at about 150 yards from me and went out of sight. I sat down on my arse and was ready for him when he topped the next ridge at 226 yards...he was just sneaking through some scrub oaks. He piled up at the shot, got up and piled up again. No need for a second shot.

His work is excellent, along with his communication... NICE buck...apparently no one told you that a .257 Bob is too light for bruiser bucks....

The guys that hunt with me would probably tell you - me carrying the Bob was overkill, because I normally whack Midwest Whitetails with a little old 250-3000.

I had pics of it and my 2010 elk, unfortunately the memory card in a shirt pocket went thru the washer and dryer.

Wayne,
VEDDY nice deer!! You've been holding out! Not really, just don't want to hype the fact there are some nice bucks to be had in Wisconsin. People may get the wrong impression. My nephew got this buck two years ago on my property...I could never get a crack at him. Sorry for the lousy picture.

Great deer,. Not many like that in Texas not raised under a feeder.
