I have a Sako 75 Stainless 308 that I purchased used. The first shot is either high left - righ or low by a couple of inches. The remaining shots are dead nuts and you can cover the group with a quarter. I can let the barrel cool down and the process starts al over.

if the barrel is very cold, it may take three shots before it starts shoot awsome. I can actually see the bullets walk right in as the barrel heats up.

I know of loosing accuracy when the barrel heat up but not the reverse. Everything seems very tight on the gun.

Any suggestions?

I am thinking the barrel has been shot out which is why the guy sold it.

+1. That's also my question. Seems you have pressure on one side and as it heats up the pressure changes thus reducing groups size. That would be the first thing I checked out if it were mine.

Check the barrel float first as everyone else stated. I would also make sure the action screws are torque the same.

+1 I like a healthy freefloat too. Instead of a dollar bill folded in half, I just use the whole wallet grin
