Thinking about getting another 7600.
I ran across a excellent condition 760 in .30-06 for $300.00.
Are there any parts that I might need that are no longer available? Are the mags interchangeable? I understand the extractor is different, is that a problem ?

They aren't the same gun. Yes, the mags interchange.

The 760 extractors are still available , though I,ve never had one fail . I prefer the post 68 model 760 , because of the o-ring ! $300 is a pretty fair price for a nice post 68 !

In my experience, the mags will NOT interchange.
Close, but no cigar...at least for the older 760's.

Most of the 760/7600's I've ever had (and that's a lot) the mags interchange.
The only one's that don't are the rare cals like .35 Rem.

They are interchangable , but almost always require a certain amount of tuneing . Tuneing them is almost an art form in itself . I have one customer that brings me 760s and 7600s and Mags that won't work quite often . They all work when he takes them home !
