I have a early rem 30 that has been taped.
i bought weaver bases #11 = they are to short
the hole spacing is .504 mine is taped for .811 front and back
weaver chart i found shows .504 and 860 spacing on some
mounts but no .811
any idea what base would have the .811 hole spacing i need i have
looked the net over and have found noda.
any ideas.,

you'll probably have to build some custom bases. The easy way is to use an extended weaver base such as a #40 or its steel counterpart. use one of the original holes and drill and countersink at .811" on the extended section. Don't cut off the extra length till you see where the scope needs to sit, that model 30 is pretty long. Weaver has another chart with mount dimensions that can be a big help -it might be on their website.

Your rifle is tapped for the old Bausch & Lomb, Kuharsky and Stith mounts that were for the B&L scopes that did not have internal adjustments. The windage and elevation adjustments were in the mounts. I have several of the bases and will check to see if any are marked for a Rem 30, although I think all I have are for a Win Mdl 70. If the receivers are shaped the same, then they would probably work. You can do a search on Gunbroker and ebay and may be able to find a set for your gun.
