Dear all
Ive had a F1 Chrony for years. I think it is about 14 years old or more.
Anyway I've never had an issue with it until a few weeks ago.
When I put a shot through it I get an error reading which reads:
Err1
and then
-00-
these two readings flash on and off alternately.
I have pressed everything on it to try and clear these error messages but can't unless I disconnect it from the battery. But after doing so and putting another shot through it, I get the same error message again.
Highly frustrating. Has anyone experienced this as well? The other thing I haven't done yet is to look on the internet to see if the manufacturer has an office number I could call with view to speaking to someone possibly.
Anyway I hope to get some advice from here.
Thanks
Jon

I had a like issue on one I had for 10-12 years. This solved it from happening again.

I was going to suggest the same, but thought that was a mean thought. If it were me, I'd probably shoot right between the -O O-. You can get a great chronograph for right around $100.00 now days.
I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Jon Err1 means that the bullet did not pass over the first sensor. ERR2 is the back sensor. Suggested cures, align the chrony better, use/ dont use diffusers depending on scenario of it happening, too close, 10 to 15 ft away from muzzle. and if all else fails, 1-905-276-6292. http://www.shootingchrony.com/index.htmHope it works out. I'm thinking along with Swifty here on alignment. Are you using Alkaline batteries? Those are a MUST with the "Shooting Chrony", at least that my finding. Hope this helps. Steely, that ain't the way to fix a chrony!

I am thinking that is a fatal error if it will not clear easily. I would think a new skyscreen is in order. A call to their cs should let you know.

I think, therefore I am, conservative.

Check sky screeen/sensor for dirt or other occlusion?
precision is group shooting, accuracy is hitting your intended target.
