I'm going to take White Bear's offer to borrow me his RCBS equipment so I can try my very first reloading effort with my 264. I have collected other dies as well from generous campfire members. I believe I have 30-06, 300 wby, possibly 45 long colt... and it seems I may have a set for a fast .22 like 220 swift or 22-250.

Are you still getting the same does on the camera? Kennedy and I came home from a meeting at her school and a 2 does and 2 fawns ran right down the middle of our street and into the neighbors place. He has a few brushy acres that they hang out in a lot. He would love for me to come over and snipe a few of them off.

Have you? These are flat base I believe. The rifle is a stainless ruger M77. I don't recall barrel length or twist.

Tom, it seems we have a few new deer, more tracks now too.

It is my goal to set up my garage this winter to have a bench for reloading. What are you guys thought on reloading in the garage. As far as powder storage, will the summer humidity wreck it? I could always keep it in the house and bring it out when I load.

I loaded for several years out of my garage. Basement now and I run a dehumidifier. I would keep the powder and primers inside in a more climate controled area.

Thanks. I have a good place to keep it inside. The A/C keep the humidity down. I have one of those 3 stall grages that you can't really use the 3rd stall for a car, so I'm going to make it into a "work shop" type spot in the garage.

For my 243s I have one that likes 85 gr TSX with 46 gr. Ramshot Hunter and a federal 210. It does not care which case. The other I just started working with and it likes Imr 4350 41.5 gr. & 95 gr. Nosler Partition. 1/2" but only 2680 fps. It also does well with IMR7828 45.5 gr and same bullet. This is 1 1/4" load but 2900 fps. Iam going to work with the latter one a little I think it will do a little better. Not that I need it for my area but I would like to shave 1/4 or more off.

That sounds like a great spot to set up.

I did miss three... 338-06 and 8mm mauser and 308 win

Tjay,

Where you headed to chase 'lopes?

It's been a few years since I've chased goats around and I really miss it!!

What are the details on the 338-06?

Team chickenbuck has it's sights fixed on winning a 2 day fishing tournament at white earth lake.

Dusty is prefishing right now. Tomorrow morning this will be the site once again as we push off from shore and head for the registration point for boat check.

Good luck fitchin' Dave.....but that picture is missing something. I think a little Team Chickenbuck signage would enhance your luck a little.

So what kinda deer are you seeing on the trail cam? I have 10,000 pictures so far between the 3 we have out. 2,000 pictures are of waving grass. 7,500 pictures of does/fawns. and about 500 pictures of about 10 different bucks. Of the 10 bucks, 2 of them are really nice; 8 of them are 1.5 year olds. Where the 2.5 year olds are I have no idea confused. We saw about a dozen 1.5 year olds hunting last year and didnt shoot any.

I prolly have 30 pics of a big 8 pointer and 9 of a big 10 pointer. grin

Undoubtedly you are thinking 10,000 pictures? What the...? There is a bean field that overlaps our woods just a little. So all the deer enter the field within about a 100 yard width of woods. I have a camera on the best trail and that generates 500 pics per 2 weeks. Oh, and they are bursts of 3 pics so a camera has been tripped about 3300 times. then, in august, I put some apples in front of the cameras....that really did it! 2,000 to 3,000 pictures per week! shocked The apples have been gone for 3 weeks because I might want to bowhunt there and it is illegal to have them there within 2 weeks of hunting.

Yep, I said bowhunt. I bought a bow. been practicing and everything. but i cant go this weekend because my company has awarded me with a trip to Chicago on Sunday for my birthday. A work trip. yuck.

Hey BM what kind of stick slinger did you get?

My FIL just bought a cross bow, 10 point I think it's called. he had been looking for one for a few years now and I found a decent price on one for him. He must be excited about it because he sent me a thank you card.

Are you sitting this weekend? Show us your pics if you do.

Tzone,
Mathews stick slinger. I have to go to Chicago for work on Sunday, so I am not going this weekend. Dont wanna have to deal with a deer if I am gonna be gone for awhile. Plus I have to have a north or northeast wind or I am outta luck on this spot.
