The gal's fearless. Note the pollen on her noggin.

Great photography is not about being in the right place at the right time, it is about putting yourself in the right place at the right time.

That is so cool! Beautiful!
If I'm wrong, I'll admit it. If I don't reply further, I'm satisfied with my side of the "debate." ...nuff said.

I like the detail seen. One can almost see a lens reflecting in the eye. The pollen cap is the first thing I noticed. Cool shot.

As the risk of being redundant, that is cool. I'd be interested to know the lens setting particulars.
The banana industry relies almost entirely on bats for natural cross-pollenation. I once lived in a region of Honduras where the bananas were a latecomer and there were relatively few bats but they had an abundance of hummingbirds. Which are more mobile and relocate more easily than bats anyway.

Where in Honduras were you? I spent a month there way back when - mostly around Tegu, but saw other parts of the country as well (Copan, San Pedro Sula, etc.).

I lived in the Comayagua valley, not quite midway between Tegucigalpa and San Pedro Sula.
