I recently got my 30-30 out of layaway. I also put a Bushnell 2.5x32 scope on it. I just happened to have the scope handy. I just need to sight it in now. I figure this outfit will be good for brush deer hunting and as a utility gun.

You couldn't have made too much of a better choice in scopes. A brush gun doesn't benefit too much from a high-powered, large objective scope at all. I'd rather have lower power and a good-sized field of view. I'm willing to bet over-sized scopes have saved a fair number of deer.
