Guys,
Long time member here looking for advice and not sure this is the correct part of the forum.
I don't have the time or the physical ability to hunt anymore and I'm looking to sell some rifles and a shotgun. My question is what would the following be worth? And, I knowwhat the market will bear but not the answer Im looking for.
1. Like new Sako 85 Finnlight ST 300 WSM 5 rnds shot with box and manuals, stainless Optilocks with a Zeiss Diavari FL 4-16x50 illum ret
2. New Sako 75 Finnlight 260 rem never shot with box and manuals, stainless 30mm Optilocks bases and rings
3. Remington 700 Mountain DM 260 rem excellent condition.
4. Like new Remington Camo 11-87 SPS 12 ga 3" mag
5. T/C Hawken 50 cal flintlock. Excellent condition with minor safe dings

Thanks,

Can we negotiate on the Sako?

In other words, "first dibs."

What I'd say is, go on Gunbroker or other similar sites, see what they're selling for, and price yours accordingly.

I'd be willing to give you a fair price for the Sako.

Which Sako with scope, etc?
Hard to find prices on the 260 since that cal is hard to find.

Sorry, I'd be interested in the 260. You could look at all the same models for sale, even if different calibers, and get a good idea.

You will make more money taking the scope of the Sako 85 and selling them separately.

The 75 should be easy to price off of gunbroker.

$500 for the Remington and it should move, although the DM reduces the market.

Can't offer much more than guesses on the other two.

I'm a big .260 fan, but the open market can be a little brutal on the caliber if you don't have the right buyers in front of you. Gunbroker.com and others will get you in the ball park but I have usually found the sellers on those sites to be more interested in keeping rather than selling their guns based on the pricing. The .300 and the 11-87 have an almost universal following and have a more "efficient market". They'll move quick at a fair price. The .260s might take a little longer to sell at a fair price. I almost aksed you if I could buy any one of them, but I just can't justify another that does the same thing as what I already have. Hmm, I don't have an auto loader shotgun yet... What's that I hear? Oh, that's the 11-87 screaming my name but with a whispering voice. Whispering only so my wife doesn't hear. My wife surely won't use a whisper when she's screaming my name after the 11-87 comes home!
